This time Smt. Anindita Roy, State Secretary of National Human Rights Federation stepped out whole heartedly to stand by Mr. Gopal Kar, resident of Chakbalaibag, Nepalgunj, South 24 Parganas, Kolkata – 700103, who seeked for immediate help to National Human Rights Federation.

Application of Mr. Gopal Kar to NHRF

To elaborate, Mr. Gopal Kar’s mother met with a bike accident on 13th August, 2020 and was admitted to KPC Hospital at Jadavpur on same date. Her situation was very critical and unfortunately she expired the next day(14th August, 2020) at 8.50 am. At the time of her admission, Mr. Gopal Kar had already paid Rs. 18000/- at the Hospital Bill Desk. He also availed “Swastha Sathi” scheme. Surprisingly, during discharge of his mother’s body, the Hospital authority made a bill of another Rs. 25000/- which was not affordable for Mr. Kar. Hence he requested NHRF to consider his financial condition and help him by taking necessary steps to get his mother’s body. State Secretary of NHRF, Smt Anindita Roy genuinely stood by him.
